I travel 1hr 50 minutes each way to visit Dawn and other medical professionals at Albir Family Medical Centre.  I myself worked for the NHS in the UK and I recommend Dawn as a highly professional, thorough and lovely nurse.  Anyone afraid of smears just visit Dawn. Her calm, kind and caring approach washes away any worries. I moved to Spain after livingi n France for 15 years. Several years ago I had breast cancer, I have the brac2 gene so I chose to have a double mastectomy. I have yearly scans and bloods taken and was a little concerned about moving to Spain and continuing my yearly scans, until I found Family Medical Centre.

They have been absolutely fantastic, after consulting with Dr An, they organised for my scans and bloods. They have made my Yearly checks ups very easy as well as being a normal doctors. They are extremely helpful, friendly and very informative. You can get all your medical needs answered here.

I have been registered with the Family Medical Centre, Albir for quite a few years and I can honestly say all the staff have been excellent.   I have never had a problem making appointments and waiting times have always been kept to a minimum.
During a routine medical exam and follow up bloods, my diabetes was rapidly diagnosed and the correct treatment prescribed.  I have no doubt that without the speedy professional services of the Family Medical Centre, Albir, my current physical health would be a whole different story.
As a multi-language service the Centre is especially invaluable to expats and with fees being kept to a minimum, I find it's top-notch service excellent value for money.    I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending The Family Medical Centre, Albir and would find it rather difficult to think of any way the Centre might improve its already excellent service.

I was unlucky enough to endure 9 hours of contractions without pain relief before requiring a Caesarean section. The only way that I was able to cope was using the breathing that Dawn had taught me. I would really recommend all the antenatal classes but for first timer like me the breathing is a must.

I am a 60 year old man with chronic back pain. I recently went for physical therapy because the pain had gotten much worse. After the first session the pain was gone for most of that day and when it returned, it was substantially less. I know this type treatment takes time and I also know that Albir Medical Centre is where I will get that treatment. Polite, professional and engaged staff made the process so easy. I also got a free dental check up in a state-of-the-art dental suite. Obviously, I have become a patient here and recommend you do too.

The Family Medical Centre in Albir is our first choice destination for medical tests, treatment and advice whenever we visit the town. Having suffered for some time with a recurring neck and shoulder problem I made an appointment to see the physiotherapist / osteopath Simon Ratcliffe. He took the time to listen and explained clearly ,every step of the way, how he was going to treat me. After only a few sessions the problem was resolved and I was given exercises to do at home. Simon is very professional and obviously has a passion for his work. I wouldn't hesitate to return should it be necessary or recommend him to others.

I visited the family medical centre in 2015 and after an examination and discussion, doctor referred me on for further tests.

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and after operation and chemo, I am delighted to say that I am completely clear of this horrible disease.

I am so grateful that the doctor decided to refer me on and listened to my problem in a very sympathetic and professional manner.

I have been back on several occasions for minor bits and pieces and am very pleased with the treatments and the caring way I have been treated.

Would not hesitate to recommend this practice.  Just wish it was a little closer to where I live!

If you need a friendly face, with people that really care, with a warm and happy atmosphere with very good prices in Albir you really can't go far wrong here. I had reason to go there a few times during my time in Albir and have no complaints... The staff, in particular Amanda and Dawn made us so welcome and put us at ease straight away. You really felt you were among friends. I couldn't fault their service at all.

When I first went to the Family Medical Centre I was unable to walk upright and used a wheeled trolley.

After two visits to the Osteopath, Mr Ratcliffe, I was in much less pain after treatment on my lower back and, instead of needing transport to and from the door, could walk to the nearby Car Park.

Even at 83 years of age improvement has continued with intermittent treatment and I only occasionally need a walking stick.

I have no concern about recommending Mr Ratcliffe as an excellent Osteopath.

The Family Medical Centre is very efficient, friendly and has a relaxed atmosphere, with Experts easily and readily available in many Medical Specialties.

I have received excellent treatment there and continue to recommend the Centre whenever the chance arises.

I recently discovered the Family Medical Centre in Albir and what a lovely place it is. All the staff are so friendly and so very competent.

Although I have a SIP card, it was so much better at the Family Medical Centre as I didn't need a translator, thus saving me money.
Also, I felt much more comfortable being able to speak to the doctor directly in my own language.

The medical care I received was second to none, the very best.

Their prices are so much lower than other private clinics making it affordable for most people.

I have been using the Family Medical Centre for the last two years, and would highly recommend them, always friendly and helpful

Having been recommended by friends, I visited the Family Medical Center to have my ears irrigated and almost instantly could hear better.

A short while later I had cysts. I went again to have a large cyst removed. I received excellent and prompt service. You are always greeted with a smile and the staff speak native English as well as other languages so there are no problems for non- English speakers.

I have nothing but praise and gratitude for everyone at the Family Medical Centre. During my pregnancy and illness post pregnancy I was treated by Dawn, Amanda and Doctor Ann. They were all wonderful not only in their separate fields of expertise but also with their caring attitudes. It is a very personal and caring service and I truly believe that if I hadn't been under their care then I would have ended up being far more seriously ill. Myself and my wife decided to have our flu jabs this year and we had the pleasure of visiting the lovely Amanda at the centre. We were in and out in about 10 minutes and Amanda was quick and gentle with us, we hardly knew we were having the injection. The price was also surprisingly very reasonable. We were very happy with our experience and would definitely use their services again in the future and recommend them to everyone.

I was waiting for a scan on the public health service for so long I had convinced myself it was something sinister. I visited doctor An after being recommended by a friend, she got me a scan straight away now I can sleep at night. Great service, no rushing, this is definitely my go-to place.
